Yes but according to Garth, that's the Marlies' tough guy.
The guy's about 40 lbs lighter than Foligno and not really a fighter, if anything Middleweight at best.

From all accounts it seems like getting Burkle involved in the process could be a big positive (a moderate with expertise in similar negotiations). |

Just throw Jacobs and Toews in the corner with each other. They can spit tired rhetoric back and forth while the adults at the table can talk. |

Miller is a hot-head...
Hey, Garth... Why do you and Kevin always post blogs at the same time? |

The players should walk in with their peckers out and say "we are decertifying" - Full Monty - and then walk out (zip up boys - and look out - I hear Derek Roy is in town)...
And then we go to the courts - and it gets ugly - two countries, vastly different ideas of unions and associations - lawyers lawyers lawyers - lawsuits - year after year - and no hockey for anyone - Miller's wife divorces him because he isnt the sports star he once was, hockeybuzz has to spell its name in Russian because no one was coming and the Russians that become season ticket holders have to read bad google translate articles - Yost gets his law degree online and is the only blogger maintaining any readership - but mostly because he is talking about the Bills - dogs and cats living together - it will truly be awesome when the players cant afford their lawyers anymore - and the owners are smoking cigars on the court steps - as they announce they have come to terms with themselves to buy the rights to the Stanley Cup - are dissolving the NHL - and are starting a new league - with the ultimate prize - the Stanley Cup - because owning franchises in the NHL was "too expensive" and the entire league was running out of funds - so they chose instead to liquidate... Bettmen quits - and is hired by the new league as the commish - the first of the new teams is the "Buffalo Sabers" the Toronto Maple Leefs - Boston Broo-ins - Winnipeg Jetz - Edmonton Oilerrs - Phoenix Desert Dogs - etc...
Eff with the bull - get the horns |

GARTH: Miller Will be In The Room On Tuesday - garth
This blog .... like the player/owner meetings scheduled .... is an epic fail. Will Acton is not the Marlies tough guy. I doubt Foligno would want a piece of Colton Orr because he's the Marlies tough guy. I guess Garf never lets the facts get in the way of a pathetic blog.

Colton Orr is a sorry excuse for a hockey player. I take Foligno in a fight any day. Go ahead and find some youtube video of Orr "winning" a fight. Doesn't matter. Foligno would never back down from that tard on skates. |

2009.
Orr vs. Burke.
Burke comes out swinging. Orr quickly backs him into a corner, starts raining blows down on Burke, until he cowers and offers a 4 year, $4 million contract.
Orr signs it. |

“There has been a deal available for months,” Miller wrote. “We all expected things to fall into a negotiation after reaching 50/50 [in regards to splitting revenue] but it hasn't. The owners want too much from us and we have to make a stand. We appreciate the chance to play in the NHL but we have to protect our players.”
And we want this guy representing the players? Protection from what? Making even more money in 7 years? Once again, the players fail to grasp the simple concept of finance in their situation. |

The thing about Jacobs that everyone seems to forget is that not only does Jacobs own the Bruins, but he also owns the concessions in just about every NHL arena in the US and some in Canada if I'm not mistaken. He's sharing more revenue than any other NHL owner. As tired as his act is, he at least has a leg to stand on, unlike any of the players. |

The owners will probably sell their teams and fold the league after meeting the deluded motor-mouth, Miller. |
